Privacy policy
This is a small business. This page is here to tell you plainly what happens to the information you give this website, because you're being asked to hand over a phone number and a VIN to somebody you haven't met.

What the form collects
The contact form on this site asks for:
- Your first name, and your last name if you give it
- Your phone number and email address
- Your ZIP code, and the vehicle's ZIP code if it's somewhere else
- The vehicle's year, make, and model
- The VIN, if you have it to hand
- Anything else you choose to type into the last box
Four of those are required — first name, phone, email, and your ZIP code. The rest are optional and the form works without them.
Where it goes
Form submissions are delivered by Resend, a transactional email service, which passes the contents to Harold Bloomer's email inbox and sends you a confirmation that your request went through. Resend handles the message in transit; the copy that matters lives in that inbox.
Nobody else receives it. It is not sold, rented, traded, or shared with anyone, and it isn't added to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.
Harold uses what you send for one purpose: to answer you about the vehicle you asked about, and to do the work if you hire him.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people actually read. That sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit — the pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used.
It doesn't identify you by name. It isn't connected to the contact form, so a submission and an analytics visit aren't linked together. If you'd rather not be counted, any browser's tracking protection, an ad blocker, or Google's own opt-out add-on will stop it.

What this site doesn't do
- No advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad networks
- No selling or sharing of anything you submit
- No account to create, and no password to store
- No newsletter, and no marketing email
- No payment details are ever collected through this website
How long things are kept
Form submissions stay in Harold's email as ordinary business correspondence. Records connected to appraisal work are kept as long as they're needed for that work and for normal business and tax purposes. Analytics data is retained on Google's schedule under the settings on the account.
Having your information deleted
Ask, and it's deleted.
Email appraisalsh@gmail.com or call (269) 680-7706 and say you'd like your enquiry removed. There's no form to fill in and no process to go through. If you'd like to know what's held about you first, ask that instead and Harold will tell you.
The only thing that can't be undone is analytics data already sitting with Google, which isn't identifiable as you in the first place.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children and doesn't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
If this page changes
It will say so, and the date at the top will change. Nothing here is retroactive.
